Arizona & Utah

The region of Arizona and Utah is a unique and mesmerizing part of the US. The landscapes are truly stunning, from narrow slot canyons, to deep gorges, spires, red buttes and mesas, rivers, lakes, and an endless desert all form part of this magical area in the southwest of the US. Roaming Stones recommends a road trip that includes the Grand Canyon and Sedona, Monument Valley and Lake Powell, including visits to Lees Ferry and the Colorado River, and winding up in Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Roaming Stones spent just over a year living in Page, Arizona so we are particularly knowledgeable about the extraordinary sites and activities in this vast and breathtaking region.

As you explore the natural wonders of the southwest, always be respectful of the environment and ancient sites, keeping your footprint to a minimum. Tourism in this area is doing an exceptional job at managing the evergrowing numbers of visitors to this beautiful part of the world. The Navajo and many other Native American tribes have been living in this region the longest and are actively involved in tourism and protecting this region.
