Whether you’re visiting Paxos by land or by sea, this island and its smaller neighboring island of Antipaxos, are some of the jewels of the Ionian.

If you are staying on Paxos, make sure to rent a boat and spend the day cruising around the island of Antipaxos, the anchorages are beautiful and endless.

If you are searching for a little action, visit the buzzing port towns of Gaios and Longos in Paxos.

Paralia Afales Beach

One of Roaming Stones’ favorite beaches

Located on the northern tip of Ithaca this secluded white sandy cove with the clearest blue water is special.

Try to go early in the morning to enjoy this beach alone.

Foki Beach

A beautiful and very protected cove, just outside of Fiskardo on the northern tip of Kefalonia. The towering trees contrast with the transparent blue waters, to make for unbelievable scenic views.

Fiskardo to Tselentata Hike

On the northern tip of Kefalonia

Begin this lovely walk in the picturesque port town of Fiskardo, on the northern tip of Kefalonia, direction left facing town from water. After about 10 or 15 minutes you will arrive at the gorgeous cove of Foki, a few minutes beyond the restaurant on your right look out for a walking sign on the right to Tselentata.

Hike up through the forest of Cypress trees for about 25 minutes and you will arrive at the charming tiny settlement of Tselentata, these days only inhabited by 20 people. If you are ready for a little more, after walking through the little town continue on the road up to the lovely church of St. Gerasimos
