AMALFI COAST
The Amalfi Coast including Capri is one of Roaming Stones favorite summer destinations. The Amalfi Coast’s winding roadways are dotted with the charming towns of Sorrento, Positiano, Ravello and Amalfi. The views and vertical drops are truly breathtaking along this spectacular coastline. Just a short boat ride away is idealic Capri.

Eat
Maria Grazia
Family-run since the 1910s, famous for its Spaghetti Zucchine
Perched on a classic Italian stone beach dotted with colorful umbrellas, this family run restaurant is simply the best. Roaming Stones always prefers local and simple rather than sophisticated and formal. Maria Grazia is exactly what we love, and has been one of our go-tos since the 1980s. Must order wine with peaches, all the variations of mozzarella, and the famous Spaghetti Zucchine. Accessible by land or sea.

Conca del sogno
Upscale in nerano
A little more polished than what Roaming Stones usually likes, we still recommend this gorgeous restaurant nestled in a tiny cove just outside the bay of Marina del Cantone. Accessible by land or sea.

Don Alfonso 1890
lunch or dinner near sorrento
This family owned charming restaurant is especially known for serving fresh produce grown on its own farm. The famous Amalfi lemons and tomatoes are the basis of many exquisite dishes found on the menu. We recommend visiting Don Alfonso’s farm, perched on the side of the mountain; for those who suffer vertigo the hairpin curves to get there may not be your cup of tea!

Outdoor Venture
Path of the gods
A favorite hike on the Amalfi Coast, Sentiero degli Dei
Length:Around 4 hours
Level: 7/10 mostly, the 1000 steps are 10/10
No doubt one of Roaming Stones’ favorite hikes is this one. The walk begins high up in the town of Agerola and gently runs downhill ending up in Nocelle or all the way to Positano if you can stand 1000s of steps down. We recommended you do this hike with a local guide, especially the first time, as hearing some history and local stories can add so much as you enjoy the most sensational views of the Amalfi coast and Capri.
