If you happen to be boating, roadtripping or hotel-hopping in the southwest of the Peloponnese, make sure to save some beach time for Kyparissia Beach.

Glossa Beach, Voidokilia Beach and Paloikastro Back Beach are also beautiful.

Old Castle Navarino

Near Pylos, Peloponnese, walk south of the lagoon and hike from either Voidokilia beach or Palaiokastro Back beach up to the Old Castle Navarino. Beautiful panoramic views, castle sits atop 200-metre rock formation on the northern edge of the bay, surrounded by sheer cliffs.

Polylimnio Waterfalls

Hike outside of the city of Kalamata

Length: 2.7-km out-and-back trail, takes just under an hour

Level: 3/10

If you are looking for a break from beaching and relaxing, head to the Polylimnio Waterfalls to hike and jump off cliffs into deep pools fed by a 30 meter waterfall. The walk to the waterfall is an easy 30 minutes from the point you park your car.
